First Annual Local Connection Harvest Festival - 2003
The For You Network, Local Connection, Rancho Cucamonga put on a WONDERFUL, WONDERFUL picnic October 18th, 2003. Cherie Arnold (chair) and Marcia Stephens (co-chair) along with a number of other Rancho network members (Elizabeth Foster, Pamela Bearden, Amparo Munoz, Stacy Kalousek, Rhonda Meyer, Ruby & Ted Lyman) did an outstanding job.
There was something for everyone. Face Painting, Pumpkin Carving, Costume Contest, "Know that Tune", potato race, corn chucking, Silent Auction, Best Pie Contest, and best of all LOTS AND LOTS OF GREAT FOOD.
Another highlight was that the Mayor of Rancho Cucamonga was auctioned off (Cherie got that bet). He will be delivering For You Magazines to businesses in Rancho Cucamonga. He is very, very gracious and will have press etc available on that day when he delivers the magazine!
All in all it was a great day. Ruby was able to share her experience with the TV crew and her 'Free-Fall'. We all were able to network, meet new members, re-acquaint ourselves with 'old' members and just sit and talk. Altogehter, about 70+ people showed - with Rancho winning 1st place for the most attendees, Corona Network won second and ....Long Beach For You Network won 3rd!! Unconfirmed rumor has it that the network raised about $600+ !! Talk about success!!!

Heart Awards 2003
1st Annual "You've Gotta Have Heart"
Awards & Recognition Day
February 1, 2003 we celebrated our 1st Annual "You've Gotta Have Heart" Awards & Recognition Day. Fran Boytos was our mistress of ceremonies. Thanks to the many volunteers the event was a smashing success!
Amy & Lisa, of Live With Heart, brought their wonderful "Heart Whispers" and it was amazing to see just how the right heart whisper got to just the right person. The people who had booths had great stuff and Henry our singer sang Broadway show tunes that got a standing ovation.
Thanks to Valarie Wood from Steinmart the fashion show was great. Directors Jayne Stephenson, Cathryn Ramirez, Gisella Thomas and Sandy Stephens modeled the beautiful clothes. It was a fabulous "girls day" with friends, fellowship and lots of "Heart!".
